Supporting artists is more essential than ever...

In a world where artificial intelligence generates thousands of pieces of content every day, where the line between human creation and automated work is blurring, supporting artists is more essential than ever. Their place is precious, their perspective unique, their artistic sensibility irreplaceable. At Mythweave, we firmly believe that live art must continue to circulate, resonate, and inspire.

It is in this spirit that we had the pleasure of entrusting the creation of a custom banner for our website to the illustrator Ekaterina Anikina, better known as Murav.ka.

When we stumbled upon her work… it clicked. A true moment of reconnection. As if, without knowing it, we were looking for exactly what she was drawing. There was something in her lines, in her symbolic forms, in her silent and dreamlike worlds, that spoke directly to the soul.

It contained everything that makes us feel alive at Mythweave: ancient myths, forgotten legends, sacred forests and the subtle links between the visible worlds and those that we barely perceive.

When Murav.ka's universe resonated with ours

Ekaterina is a freelance illustrator, originally from Russia, and her world is permeated by powerful influences: Slavic and Nordic mythologies, old folklore, esoteric symbols that have resonated since the dawn of time.

But it's not just inspiration. She creates inhabited worlds, populated by powerful entities : goddesses, gods, primordial witches, spirits of the forest and nature...

Her artistic style is instantly recognizable: at once gentle, precise, and imbued with mystery. At times, it feels as if she is illustrating a dream, or an ancient tale that has been forgotten.

We were struck by the resonance between her world and ours. As if we were both drawing from the same underground aquifer, that great symbolic river that connects ancient traditions and the imaginations of tomorrow. In her work, nothing is decorative: everything carries meaning.
And it's the same for us. We want each Mythweave garment to tell a story, to be a symbol to wear. So naturally, it was a perfect fit.

A natural encounter: the beginning of our artistic collaboration

We got in touch with her. And very quickly, the connection was obvious.
Ekaterina took the time to listen. She immersed herself in our world, our approach, our inspirations, our intentions.

And what she proposed to us... left us speechless. She understood everything.

On the banner she created for us, three characters appear, each carrying a part of us, a facet of Mythweave: the legacy of the ancients, the vitality of nature, the present in transformation.

And around them, the scenery: city and forest, moon and sun, roots and branches that echo each other.
The whole thing is covered in runes, like an ancient whisper.

What we loved about it is that everything is symbolic, but nothing is fixed. Everyone can project their own dreams and beliefs onto it. It's an open, vibrant, living work . Exactly what we were looking for.

Murav.ka, a free and talented artist

Beyond this banner, we wanted to talk about Murav.ka as an artist, because her work deserves to be seen, recognized and celebrated.

She doesn't try to please. She follows her own path. She explores her inner world and shares it with rare sincerity.

Her art is a form of poetic resistance, a refusal to conform to trends or speed. She reminds us that art continues to initiate, connect, and nourish the soul .

Collaborating with her was a privilege. And a truly joyful experience. Because, in a way, we recognized ourselves in each other.

And also because we deeply believe in the beauty of these encounters: when two universes come together to create something greater than each separately.

As artists ourselves, we know that calling upon the talent of another artist is not just a commission. It's an act of trust . It's believing in intuition and the magic of shared creation.

When art becomes a threshold to another world

Today, this banner sits proudly at the top of our Mythweave website. And in our eyes, it's not just there for decoration. This banner represents an invitation, a sign that you are entering another world, a world where traditions are alive, where symbols are there to guide, and where art becomes a path in its own right.

If you were not already familiar with Murav.ka, then we hope that this dive into his world has made you want to discover more.
